They call me the Suncatcher, and I’ve come to love that name. I never set out to earn it, but somewhere along the way my photos began to tell the story. and the nickname stuck….
I was just Linda Stager, rising photographer, trying to learn the craft, not knowing what I liked or where I was going with my passion. And then one day, a friend I so respect saw my work and named me the Suncatcher. It stuck. Now my business name is PA Suncatcher-Linda Stager and my studio is Suncatcher lodge.
And you know the rest of the story. I still find myself drawn to the glow of morning light breaking through fog. With my camera, I try to hold onto those fleeting moments—the way light bends, softens, and wraps itself around my world. I never tire of looking for those moments. It’s part of me now. Each photograph feels like catching the sun in a shutter click, so it can be shared and remembered with others long after the moment has passed.
The studio is very busy these days and I love sharing my work with others. Every time a print or canvas goes home with someone who loves it, I know I’ve done my job. It’s not about being a business at all for me. If you’ve been to the studio you’ve heard the stories. It’s about sooo much more. And I thnak you so much for that.
Over time, I have realized the name fits— It’s just who I am as a photographer.
You might say the sun and I have an understanding….❤️ And I like that….
