Taking time to smell the flowers…. (And to take photos of them)
It’s been a busy time. I haven’t been able to get many photos because of the weather, but I’ve also been busy. It’s one of those things…deadlines and obligations trump photo time.
But I know that photography for me is a “healing sutra”…you will see that phrase often hashtagged with my photos. What does it mean? Sutra is the Sanskrit word for thread. One of my very special friends taught me a few years ago about sutra—the idea is that we are all connected by this invisible thread of relationship. For me photography is a thread connecting me to you…and it is healing…. It’s a Healing Sutra….
So, I picked my lens up off the shelf and started snapping photos when I could. This is a special lens which takes very soft closeup photos. I like the dreamy look of flowers taken with this lens—especially in the rain!
I think today is a good day…(as it rains again) to remember to take time to do the things that positively connect you to others…and that heal….no matter how busy you are….or how much it rains…
Have a good day today…peace…..❤️
