Most everyone does…but there is more to it. Sometimes things change and a good life isn’t always good when you wake up. At my age, I have a variety of creaks and groans—and part of the morning routine is seeing what hurts and what doesn’t for the day…or week…or month….

Here are my morning thoughts for you….

First of all, I am grateful. “I got up today” is a reminder that just waking up and starting the day is something to appreciate.

Second, “I got up today” speaks of resilience. Sometimes getting up is hard to do! And doing it becomes the first victory of the day.

And last, “I got up today” speaks to being open to see what the day holds…I showed up! Take me to my next adventure, next reaction, next relationship moment.

Morning is always a fresh start, a chance to breathe in and out, it’s our newest page to write, for better or for worse…. Peace….
